Strategically located at the entrance to picturesque Mbombela (Nelspruit), just off the N4 on Samora Machel Drive, Gateway Lowveld Precinct creates a lasting impression on locals and tourists alike.

OUR STORY

The historical Halls Farmstall and the surrounding area, including the filling station, was established by the original landowner, HL Hall and Sons, in 1918. The Gateway Lowveld Precinct Association (GPA), now managed by Spaces Places & Partnerships, was established in 2018 together with the sale of a portion thereof (which is to be developed as a drive-through fast food restaurant). In 2019, Shell bought the portion comprising the filling station, becoming the third member of the GPA. Halls Properties remains the owner of the rest of the site.

OUR STORY

The Precinct is bordered by the main road into Nelspruit – Samora Machel Drive – and Mataffin Macadamia Village to the north; Trans African Concessions (TRAC) - the concessionaire of the N4 – to the south-west; and the Mpumalanga Tourism and Parks Agency offices to the west. The iconic Mbombela Stadium is located to the south of the site and is an indication of the prime locality of the Gateway.

The Farm Stall

The Farm Stall stocks the freshest fruit and vegetables along with the Lowveld’s favourite nuts, biltong, honey, jams, marmalades and a wonderful collection of Lowveld souvenirs. Enjoy the coffee shop bursting with pride over home-style meals, the freshest brewed coffee and charming country atmosphere.

Gateway Motors Nelspruit

The Shell petrol station known as Gateway Motors Nelspruit offers unleaded and diesel products, including Shell V-Power 95 and Shell V-Power Diesel (50ppm), and a variety of services, including a Select Shop, bakery and an ATM.

Fever Tree Nursery

Fever Tree is a boutique nursery specialising in indigenous plants, landscape design and implementation. The nursery stocks the widest and most diverse range of plants and trees in Mbombela. And, if they don’t have it, they will source it for you!
